Continuous Data Protection

The Continuous Data Protection feature automatically recognize the changes to files present in your backup set and back them up in real-time.

To enable continuous data protection,

1. Right-click the IDrive Express Tray icon.
2. Select Preferences > General.
 3. Enable Continuous Data Protection by using the check box.




Note:
  • Files less than 2 GB are considered for Continuous Data Protection as frequently modified data tends to be small. Also, it avoids slowing down your machine while you work on it.
  • Temporary files and system files are exempted from Continuous Data Protection
