What is IDrive® 360 Mobile Backup?
IDrive® 360 Mobile Backup app is a cross-platform compatible backup and restore app for recovering your critical phone data in case of a disaster. Backup the contacts, calendar events, photos, videos on your iOS endpoints. Mobile backup is available with all IDrive® 360 plans.
How to backup my device contents?
When you sign in to the IDrive® 360 iOS app using a token, you will have the option to backup all your device contacts, photos, videos, and calendar to your IDrive account by tapping on 'Backup Now'.
You can also customize the selection based on your requirement and tap 'Backup Now'.
How do I sign in to the IDrive® 360 iOS application?
You can sign in to the IDrive® 360 iOS application with the mobile token generated on the IDrive® 360 web console.
To get the sign-in token for mobile,
- Sign in to your IDrive® 360 account.
- Click Add Devices.
- Select Set your own encryption method if you wish to set up private encryption.
- Make a note of the token in the Mobile Devices section. You can also enter the email addresses of recipients and share the token via email.
Skip this step to proceed with default encryption.
To add your device for backup,
- Launch the IDrive® 360 iOS app on your device.
- Enter the token noted earlier.
- Tap Sign In.
Note: If you signed in with a private encryption token, you will be prompted to set up the encryption.
How to backup contacts from my device?
To backup contacts,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Select Contacts.
- Tap Backup Now.
View all the backed up contacts in My Phone Backup screen.
How to backup photos/videos from my device?
To backup all photos/videos,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Select Photos or Videos.
- Tap Backup Now.
To backup specific photos/videos,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap the Photos or Videos folder.
- Select the photos or videos you wish to backup.
- Tap Done > Backup Now.
View all the backed up photos/videos in My Phone Backup screen.
How to backup calendar events from my device?
To backup calendar events,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Select Calendar.
- Tap Backup Now.
To select calendar events for backup,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap Calendar.
- Set Start Date and End Date.
- Tap Done > Backup Now.
View all the backed up calendar events in My Phone Backup screen.
How does 'Auto Camera Upload' work?
Auto Camera Upload automatically backs up all the photos, videos, in your device to the IDrive® 360 account. By default, this feature will be disabled.
Enabling Auto Camera Upload:
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen.
- Tap Backup.
- Enable Auto Camera Upload.
Alternatively,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen.
- Tap Backup
- Tap > Change Setting.
I am facing issues with my backup. How do I fix this?
During any backup issues, these tips might help:
- Ensure the latest version of the app is installed.
- Verify app permissions and enable if needed.
- Backup might fail sometimes due to weak internet connection.
- Ensure the device is sufficiently charged.
- Disable any battery optimization features or restrictions in the background.
If these are not helpful, tap Report Problem and send an error report and our support team will reach out to you for assistance.
I started backing up my photos a few hours back. Why isn’t it backed up yet?
The backup process will be paused if you close the app or navigate away from the app. Ensure to keep the app open and battery sufficiently charged until the backup process is finished.
Are mobile backups incremental?
Yes, all the photos, videos, calendar events, and contacts are uploaded incrementally.
What are the operations that I can perform through my device?
These are the following operations that you can perform:
- Folder/File operations include restore and delete.
- Photo operations include restore, delete, copy, and send.
- Video operations include restore, delete, and send.
Can I access my mobile backup data through the web?
Yes. Sign in to your IDrive® 360 account on any web browser and access all the photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events backed up from your device to the account.
Can I edit backed up files on my mobile?
You can edit text files that are present in your IDrive® 360 account and only view all the other file formats.
How do I search for files in my IDrive® 360 account from my mobile?
To search the files,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap My Phone Backup.
- Enter the file name and tap Search.
Can I create and edit text documents through the IDrive® 360 app?
Yes, you can create and edit .txt files.
To create a new text document,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap My Phone Backup > Upload.
- Tap Create Text File > Next.
- Enter document name > Done.
To edit text documents,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Open the document to edit > Tap .
- Tap Save.
To view different versions of the document,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Open the document > Tap .
- Tap the version you wish to view > Done.
To delete the document,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Open the document > Tap

To delete all the files,
Edit > Select all the files you wish to delete > Tap .
To share all contacts from your device,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap My Phone Backup > Contacts > .
- Tap Select All > Share.
To share specific contacts,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap on My Phone Backup > Contacts > .
- Select the required contacts > Share.
How to share my photos/videos?
To share a photo/video,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap My Phone Backup.
- Open the photo/video you wish to share > tap > Send mail.
How to restore data from one device to another device?
To restore data from one device to another, you will need to generate a recovery token.
To generate recovery token,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 web account.
- Click on the mobile devices > hover on the device (device A) which you wish to restore.
- Click on to generate the token.
- Using this token, sign in to the IDrive® 360 account in the other device you wish to restore the data into (device B).
How to restore any device/folder contents?
To restore device/folder contents from one device to another,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 device using the recovery token.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the folder you want to restore > Restore.
To restore photos in the same device,
- Go to the IDrive® 360 account.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the folder you want to restore > Restore.
Note: Only files compatible with your iOS device will be restored.
How to restore photos/videos to my device?
To restore photos/videos from one device to another,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 device in device B using the recovery token.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the photos/videos folder you want to restore.
To restore photos/videos in the same device,
- Go to the IDrive® 360 account > Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the photos/videos folder you want to restore.
To restore specific photos/videos,
- Tap the photos/videos folder.
- Tap
- Tap Edit and choose the photo/video > Restore.
Note: Duplicate photos/videos will not be restored.
How to restore calendar events to my device?
To restore calendar events from one device to another,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 device using the recovery token.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the calendar folder you want to restore.
To restore all calendar events in the same device,
- Go to the IDrive® 360 device.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the calendar folder you want to restore.
To restore specific calendar events,
- Tap the calendar folder > > select the calendar events you wish to restore.
- Tap Restore.
- Choose Simply restore to Calendar or Delete Calendar & Restore.
To restore one calendar event,
- Tap the calendar folder > open the calendar event you wish to restore.
- Tap Restore.
How to restore contacts to my device?
To restore contacts from one device to another,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 device using the recovery token.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the contacts folder you want to restore.
To restore contacts in the same device,
- Go to the IDrive® 360 device.
- Tap Access and Restore.
- Tap next to the contacts folder you want to restore.
To restore specific contacts,
- Tap the contacts folder > > select the contacts you wish to restore.
- Tap Restore.
- Choose Simply restore to Address Book or Delete Address Book & Restore.
To restore one contact,
- Tap the contacts folder.
- Open the contact you wish to restore.
- Tap Restore.
Note: To restore earlier versions, tap Contacts > Version, and select the desired version.
To create a new folder,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap My Phone Backup > Create Folder.
- Enter folder name > Create.
How to cancel an upload while it is in progress?
To cancel an folder upload in progress,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 device using the restore token > Backup.
- Tap next to the uploading folder.
To cancel a photo/video file upload in progress,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Go to the photos/videos folder where the backup is in progress.
- In the Upload screen > tap next to the file you wish to cancel the upload.
To cancel "Auto Camera Upload",
- Go to the IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup screen.
- Tap .
- Tap Disable.
To delete an folder content,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Select the folder that has the content to be deleted > > Edit.
- Select on the folder you want to delete > Delete > Delete.
To delete a specific file,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Select the folder that has the content to be deleted > > Edit.
- Open on the file you want to delete > Delete > Delete.
Note: Default folders cannot be deleted.

What is IDrive® 360 Mobile Backup?
IDrive® 360 Mobile Backup app is a cross-platform compatible backup and restore app for recovering your critical phone data in case of a disaster. Backup the contacts, calendar events, photos, videos, SMS, call logs, and other files on your Android endpoints. Mobile backup is available with all IDrive® 360 plans.
How do I backup my device contents?
When you sign in to the IDrive® 360 Android app using a token, you will have the option to backup all your device contacts, photos, videos, calendar, music, SMS, call logs, and other files to your IDrive account by tapping on 'Backup Now'.

How do I enable Auto Camera Upload?
To enable Auto Camera Upload,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Toggle the Auto Camera Upload switch to turn it on.
- Tap Include Video(s) if you want to include videos during auto upload or tap Only Image(s) to include images.
How to backup calendar events from my device?
To backup calendar events,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap Calendar and then tap Backup Now.
All backed up calendar events will be available in My Device Backup folder.
How do I backup SMS from my device?
To backup SMS from your device,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap SMS and then tap Backup Now.
All backed up SMS will be available in My Device Backup folder.
How do I backup my music files from my device?
To backup music files from your device,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap Music and tap Backup Now.
All backed up music files will be available in My Device Backup folder.
How do I backup call logs from my device?
To backup call logs from your device,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap Call Logs and tap Backup Now.
All backed up call logs will be available in My Device Backup folder.
How do I backup other file types?
To backup other file types,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Backup.
- Tap Other Files and tap Backup Now, to backup all the files from your internal and external storage.
To backup specific files,
- Tap the Other Files folder and then navigate to the files.
- Select the files using .
- Tap Done and then tap Backup Now.
All backed up files will be available in My Device Backup folder. When you select the 'Other Files' folder, you should see all of your backed up data here with the exception of Photos, Videos, and Music. These will be located in their respective folders.
Are mobile backups incremental?
Yes, IDrive® 360 backs up all your mobile data such as photos, videos, music files, contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, and documents incrementally. That means after the initial backup is done, it only backs up increments or changes since the previous backup.
How to perform automatic backups?
There are two ways to perform automatic backups:
- Backup On Charge
- Schedule Backup
To enable backup on charge,
- Go to Settings > Automatic Backup.
- Tap Backup On Charge.
- Select the folders you wish to initiate backup on charge for and click Done.
You can also choose specific folders under Photos, Videos, Music, and Other Files to backup.
NOTE: IDrive 360 automatically backs up the data when the device is connected for charging. This backup occurs once in 24 hours.
To schedule backup,
- Go to Settings > Automatic Backup.
- Tap Schedule Backup.
- Select the folders you wish to schedule backup for and tap Next.
You can also choose specific folders under Photos, Videos, Music, and Other Files to backup. - Select the frequency of backup. You can choose to backup daily or select the days.
- Tap Set Time to choose the time of the backup.
- Once you have scheduled the backup, click Save.
To edit a scheduled backup,
- Go to Settings > Automatic Backup.
- Tap Schedule Backup.
- Edit the folders and frequency of the backup and click Save.

Can I access my mobile backup data through the web?

To restore folder contents,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore.
- Tap My Device Backup
Alternatively, you can tap , and the My Device Backup folder will appear. - Tap next to the folder you want to restore.
How do I restore one device's data to another?
You can easily restore one device's data to another device using a recovery token generated via web. This is very convenient when you lose access to your device or it stops working or is lost.
To generate a recovery token,
- Sign in to IDrive® 360 web account.
- Navigate to Devices > Mobile Devices.
- Hover over the device which data you want to restore.
- Click , a token will be generated.
- Copy the token or share it via email.
To restore data on the other device,
- Download the IDrive® 360 mobile app on the device you want to restore your data.
- Sign in using the recovery token and navigate to Access and Restore.
- View all backed content of the device and restore it on the new/another device.
How do I restore photos/videos to my device?
To restore photos or videos,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore > My Device Backup.
- Tap next to the photo/video folder you want to restore.
To restore specific photos/videos,
- Go to the photos/videos folder > click .
- Click Edit and choose the photo/video > Restore.
How do I restore calendar events to my device?
To restore all calendar events,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore > My Device Backup.
- Tap next to the calendar folder you want to restore.
To restore specific calendar events,
- Tap the calendar folder and long-press the calendar events you wish to restore.
- Alternatively, you can select multiple calendar events to share by using .
- Tap to restore.

How do I restore contacts to my device?
To restore all contacts to your device,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore > My Device Backup.
- Tap next to the contacts folder to restore all your contacts.
To restore specific contacts,
- Tap the contacts folder.
- long-press a contact you wish to restore Or select multiple contacts by selecting the contacts you wish to restore using

- Go to the photos/videos folder where the backup is in progress.
- In the Upload screen > click next to the file you wish to cancel the upload.

How do I restore call logs to my device?
To restore call logs,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore > My Device Backup.
- Tap next to the call logs folder.
To restore a specific call log,
- Tap the call logs folder.
- Long-press a specific call log by using or select multiple call logs you wish to restore.
- Tap .
- Choose the appropriate option to restore the call logs.
How do I restore SMS to my device?
To restore the SMS folder,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore > My Device Backup.
- Tap next to the SMS folder.
To restore specific SMS,
- Tap the SMS folder > click .
- Select a specific SMS by using or select multiple SMS you wish to restore.
- Tap .
How do I delete files/folders on my device?
To delete an entire folder content,
- Go to IDrive® 360 home screen > Access and Restore > My Device Backup.
- Long-press the folder you wish to delete and tap .
- Alternatively, you can tap > Edit, select the folders you wish to delete, and tap .
Note: Default folders cannot be deleted.
